PURPOSE:To shorten an input level adjustment time by eliminating variance in the level of a digitized voice due to an individual difference at the time of digitized voice generation. CONSTITUTION:A constant-level repetitive wave with a specific period is recorded additionally at the head of a voice to be digitized on the medium of audio equipment such as a tape 3. Its sound recording signal is inputted by a voice generation device 1 and converted by an A/D conversion part 11 into PCM data. A microprocessor part 15 detects the repetitive wave from the PCM data through a PCM code read part 12, calculates its input level mean value, and finds a level adjustment value from the difference from a specific value. A voice encoding/decoding part 13 performs voice encoding for band compression for the PCM data according to the level adjustment value and determines the level of the digitized voice. |
