Cleaning unit for pipe line wall, includes support (1) driven by motor (2) via chain (3). The rollers (4) in a frame guide the support. The drive ring (5) has internal teeth, and is supported on guide rollers (6) and pinion (7) geared to inner teeth of the drive ring (5). The drive for ring (5) may be by motor (9) via chain or rope (8). Chain wheels (10) are connected with pinions (7) so that brushes (11) are driven via chains (12). Brushes (11) are fitted to the ends of pivot arms (13). In use support (1) via motor (2) rotates aorund the pipe line, whilst the brushes are forced against the pipe wall.
