A low foaming non-aqueous, liquid, heavy-duty, laundry detergent contains secondary alkyl ethoxylate nonionic surfactant and a silicone defoamer composition. The order of addition of ingredients to the detergent composition affects the anti-foaming efficacy of the silicone defoamer.
