<p>A system is disclosed for measuring dynamically forces applied to a prosthetic joint (10). The system comprises a first support member (12) attached to an outer surface of a first bone (26), a second support member (16) attached to an outer surface of a second bone (34) and a transducer (14) secured to the second support member (16) between the first support member (12) and the second support member (16). The transducer (14) measures forces applied to the first support member (12) and second support member (16) as the prosthetic joint (10) is articulated and provides a representative force output signal proportional to the applied forces.</p> |
