<p>PURPOSE: To obtain such a useful multiphase-type contraceptive kit of concomitant use that the dose of estrogen ingredient is properly selected at low levels and the ingredient is administered for 24-48 days or so, while progestogen as the other ingredient is administered simultaneously and gradually increasingly so as to result in low dose in total with high certainty. CONSTITUTION: This multiphase-type contraceptive kit of concomitant use, which comprises at least three phases, is so designed that the 1st to 3rd phases represent 8 tablets or so, the estrogen ingredient content being about 0.020-0.025 mg/tablet, the 4th phase representing 4 tablets with no estrogen, while the progestogen content is gradually increased from the 1st to 3rd phase at 0.100 to 0.150 or so, the content of the 4th phase at about 0.030 or so. This contraceptive is effective, being of low-dose type, has such an advantage of multiphase-type administration as to afford ideal menstrual cycle control while preventing follicle development during the period of taking no pill, thus, in particular, being effective for women under the first term of menopause with procreative ability.</p> |
