A device for applying moisture to the gummed surface of a postage stamp consists of a rectangular housing (a) which encloses a reservoir (b) for water. The water reservoir has a filler opening (c), at its lower end, which is sealed by a plug (d) and covered with a cap (e). The upper end of the reservoir has an opening (f) which receives a plug (g) or absorbent material. The plug is used to apply moisture to the gummed surface of the postage stamp which is placed in a recess (k) on the side of the device. A clip (j) enables the device to be held in the pocket like a pen or pencil. USE/ADVANTAGE - Applying moisture to postage stamps in a hygienic manner.
