In a fixed yoke, partial lining disk brake, the brake blocks (5, 6, 41, 64) are composed of a support plate (7, 8, 42, 65) and brake pads (13, 27, 44, 66) removably secured to the support plate (7, 8, 42, 65). The support plates (7, 8, 42, 65) are provided with projections (9, 45, 73) that cooperate with axial webs (10, 10', 47, 70) of the yoke housing (1, 46, 61) so that during braking the peripheral forces are only transmitted to the brake disk run-in side of the yoke housing (1, 46, 61). Worn brake pads (13, 27, 44, 66) may be removed at no great cost through a radial slit (2, 62) of the yoke housing (1, 46, 61) after being loosened from the support plates (7, 8, 42, 65). The support plates (7, 8, 42, 65) remain in the yoke housing (1, 46, 61) at all times. This fixed yoke brake allies the confort of drawn brake blocks (5, 6, 41, 64) to the advantage of reduced mounting costs when the brake pads (13, 27, 44, 66) are exchanged. |
