The workhead change mechanism consists of a fixed part (2) which has two hooks (12) which can be turned about their axes (21) to engage into the changeable part (2) and are locked in position by a sliding bolt mechanism (9). The hooks (12) each have two mating surfaces (12a, 12b) one of which is essentially vertical (12a) and is, in the locked position, engaged with the sliding bolt mechanism (9). The other mating surfaces (12b) are at an angle and locate firmly against correspondingly angled surfaces (13). The change mechanism has positioning guides which in themselves secure the mechanism from rotating prior to the workhead mechanism being locked in position.
