PURPOSE:To provide the toner which is uniform in grain size, is small in grain size and has stable electrostatic charge performance with simple production stages at a low cost by adsorbing or fixing a compd. classified as 'Solvent Blue 70(R)' into polymer particles in a hydrophilic org. liquid. CONSTITUTION:The polymer particles of the uniform grain size formed by dispersive precipitation polymn. by a high-polymer dispersant which dissolves in the hydrophilic org. liquid are formed by adsorbing or fixing the compd. classified as the 'C.I. Solvent Blue 70(R)' into the polymer particles in the hydrophilic org. liquid. This compd. is adsorbed to the surfaces of the polymer particles and impact is applied to the polymer particles to fix the adsorbed 'C.I. Solvent Blue 70(R)' to the surfaces of the polymer particles. The polymer formed therein is the polymer particles of a narrow particle size distribution consisting of the process of growing seed particles by adding a vinyl monomer diluted with the hydrophilic org. liquid into a seed particle dispersion in the stage for polymerizing the seed particles by adding the vinyl monomer which is swollen or hardly dissolved by the hydrophilic org. liquid to the polymer particles. |
