<p>PURPOSE: To provide a contraception designed to increase the dose of progesterone at first and gradually decrease it over the period of contraceptive administration, and to obtain a prescription therefor. CONSTITUTION: This prescription is a multiphase combinational contraceptive kit comprising at least 21 units to be administered in a specified order everyday. These units are divided to three phases by 6 to 8. Each unit in the 1st phase contains progesterone at a dose equivalent to 75-150μg desogestrel(D) and estrogen at a dose equivalent to 20-25μg ethynyl estradiol(E) in terms of estrogen activity; each unit in the 2nd phase contains progesterone at a dose, although less than the above, equivalent to D75-125μg and estrogen equivalent to E20μg; and each unit in the 3rd phase contains progesterone at a dose, although less than the previous one, equivalent to D75-100μg and estrogen equivalent to E 20μg.</p> |
