PURPOSE:To improve the filtering effect to a high-resolution picture, to reduce the number of reference picture elements in a spatial filter processing, to reduce the amount of hardware by subjecting each of blocks into which the processing object picture is divided based on sampling intervals to the spatial filter processing (product sum operation) and generating a processing result picture by inverse conversion in a spatial filter processor for space filter processing of the picture. CONSTITUTION:A coordinate transform processing part 3 takes out picture elements from the processing object picture at sampling intervals to divide it into blocks, and a spatial filter processing part 4 executes at every block the spactial filter processing and inversely converts these pictures at sampling intervals to generate the processing result pictures where picture elements are returned to original positions. |
