The present invention relates to novel 2-quinolinone derivatives of general formula (I) useful in agriculture, especially as fungicides but also as insecticides and miticides, wherein R1, R2, R3 and R4 are independently hydrogen, halogen, C1-C10 alkyl, branched C3-C4 alkyl, C1-C3 haloalkyl, C1-C8 alkoxy, C1-C3 haloalkoxy, C1-C3 alkylthio, C1-C3 haloalkylthio, NO2, CN, alkoxy carbonyl, phenyl, substituted phenyl, phenoxy, substituted phenoxy, benzenesulfonyl, benzyl, substituted benzyl or morpholine; R5 is C1-C6 alkyl, branched C3-C6 alkyl, C3-C6 cycloalkyl, phenyl, substituted phenyl, benzyl or phenylthio methyl; and X is S(O)nR6, OR9 or NAB; wherein n is 0 or 1; R6, R9, A and B are defined within the description.
