<p>PURPOSE: To provide a portable optical bar code operation unit by which a bar code label can be scanned without any manual operation. CONSTITUTION: This bar code scanner includes a pair of inclined supporting facts 32 and 38 mutually directed with a certain angle, and a housing member 22 having a floor part from which a reflecting mirror is suspended. One of the inclined supporting faces includes a transparent substrate 34. A scanning light beam source such as a hand scanner is suspended adjacently to the other inclined supporting face 38, plural scanning light beams in a scanning pattern shape 36 are projected to the reflecting mirror, and the reflecting mirror reflects the scanning pattern on the transparent substrate. When a bar code label passes on the substrate, the scanning of the bar code label can be attained by the scanning light beam. An execution sample in which the housing member is suspended rotatablely so as to be moved to various rotational positions is shown with many execution examples in which the hand scanner is suspended adjacently to the other inclined face.</p> |
