The method forms the base body of the loom shuttle by use of phenol resin impregnated pulp sheet, so as to lengthen the life span of the loom shuttle. The loom shuttle forming method comprises a step of making a U-shaped body by gluing a plurality of the phenol resin impregnated pulp sheets; a step of laying other pulp sheet on the floor of a groove (2) formed in the U-shaped body (1); a step of making two rectangular cross-sectioned bodies (3) for filling both ends of the U-shaped body (1); a step of inserting the two rectangular cross-sectioned bodies (3) into both ends of the U-shaped body (1) and filling pulp waste or phenol-resin impregnated pulp in the groove (2); a step of solidifying it by pressing and heating.
