摘要

PURPOSE:To offer the waveguide type optical device easy for connection to an optical fiber. CONSTITUTION:The waveguide type optical device equipped with a waveguide base 2, first clad 4 formed on the said waveguide base 2, core 8a formed on the said first clad 4 and second clad 12 formed on the above-mentioned first clad 4 so as to cover the said core 8a is constituted by forming reference faces 6 parallel to the above-mentioned waveguide base 2 on the both sides of the above-mentioned core 8a.
