<p>A modular robot system for the renewal of sewers, in particular for connecting an existing inlet to a sewer pipe provided with a new lining, comprises remote-control units for carrying out work in the sewer pipe. A single control unit (2) is also provided, at one side connected by means of control cables and/or hoses to an operating unit situated at ground level, and at the other side having a connector (3) by means of which it can also be coupled to at least one of the following independently functioning working units provided with their own drive means: a cleaning unit (43) for cleaning the inside surface of an inlet of the sewer to be renewed and for removing obstacles in the sewer; a shut-off unit (35) for placing a shut-off filler provided with detections means in an inlet; a drilling unit (61) for drilling a hole in the new lining at the position of an existing inlet; a connection unit (16) for placing an inlet collar between the existing inlet and the new lining at the position of the drilled hole.</p> |
