<p>PURPOSE: To provide an improved connector terminal for an optical fiber and a connector header used at the time of connecting the optical fiber to a device. CONSTITUTION: An optical fiber connection system is constituted of three mutually fitted plastic parts 12, 18 and 24. A terminal main body is provided with too separately arranged projection parts 20 and 22 for mounting fiber end parts 116 and 118 and a cable receiving main body 12 is provided with wall parts 96 and 98 each having a gripper tooth 102. Two cable strands 116 and 118 are introduced and a terminal connector 10 formed by connecting both main bodies is finished by hot plate welding. The terminal connector 10 is inserted to a header 24 provided with a pocket and an electrooptic device 26 is mounted. The pocket is provided with an integrated spring rail 158, the device 26 is abutted to the projection parts 20 and 22 and the fiber is housed at the time of assembly.</p> |
