Adjustment of shoulder seat belt to suit size of occupant - using slotted opening mounted to swivel about axis on seat backrest

The vehicle seat has a shoulder belt restraint system. It has a slot-like opening (10) in a fitting mounted on the backrest and capable of swivelling about an axis (8). The slot-like opening is aligned with a gap in the wall of the back rest (2) and the axis about which the cover (9) swivels can be set symmetrically or asymmetrically with respect to the symmetrical plane of the slot-like opening. USE/ADVANTAGE - Seat belt arrangement in vehicle in which irrespective of the size of the seat occupant the shoulder belt will alwasy follow an optimal path from the shoulder to the back rest.
