PURPOSE:To transmit, by a single operation of a switch, maintenance information in contents and forms that are easy for operators to understand without installing an additional display unit by a method wherein the maintenance information is outputted and printed with a printing mechanism section. CONSTITUTION:A control processing section 2 executes printing control processing that produces printing data and controls printing operations in a printing mechanism section 3, checking of maintenance information and checking of wears by the control processing on individual component parts comprising the printing mechanism section 3, and inputting of said information to a memory 5 for storage. When a power source is connected by switching-on, the control processing section 2 makes checking and control processing on the maintenance information, and thereby wears on the individual component parts arising from printing operations by the printing mechanism section 3 are checked, and the checked results are stored as the maintenance information in the memory 5. With operation of a switch 4, the control processing section 2 reads the maintenance information out of the memory 5 and converts the read-out information into printing data, and makes the printing mechanism section 3 execute printing with said data. |
