PURPOSE: To provide an image forming method which does not require plural image receptive bodies and cleaning systems in color printing where an ionographic printing head is used to perform direct writing. CONSTITUTION: A 1st image is formed by selectively discharging 20 a specified area, and developed with the toner of a 1st color. Succeedingly to the development 30, 32, 34 and 36 of the image, the image receptor 12 is reelectrified 46, 48 and 50 until reaching a uniform electrification level. This processing is repeated concerning the toner of different colors to be used. In the case of the finally developed image, a stage for re-electrification is omitted. By using an ionographic image forming device, a printing machine 10 shown in a figure is not restricted to use the toner through which electromagnetic radiation is transmitted. |
