<p>A manually carriable digital inflation device for monitoring pressure in an angioplasty balloon catheter in a patient having an elongated main housing (12) which has a pressure generating piston (26) and cylinder (28) adapted through a pressure sensor (32), to digitally display (16) the pressure, elapsed time or duration of the pressure generated, and the number of cycles of pressure generated and communicated to a balloon catheter. The distal display panel (16) receives this information through a proper circuit connected to the sensor. The display panel (16) is canted at an angle with respect to the elongated housing (12) to make the display easier to read and respond.</p> |
