Convertible motor vehicle - has vibration damper in on top frame bar of windscreen

The motor vehicle has a roof, which may be opened. It has linear vibration dampers with preferred effective direction, to reduce body movement. An additional vibration damper (6) is located in/on approx. the centre of the top transverse frame bar (2) of the front windscreen (8). The preferred effective direction of this damper extends in longitudinal direction of that frame bar. The damper is tuned to the frequency of the highest intensity of the exciter spectrum. ADVANTAGE - Very effective reduction in body movements; economical.
