The security cover has a lead seal and fits under a sealed cover of a domestic installation device with a tariff meter which is switched between day and night tariffs. The security cover has at least one viewing window and projects through an opening in the installation cover (27), with hooked fixing elements (24,25) engaging the rear edge of this opening. At least one of the fixing elements (24, 25) is held in the locking position via the lead seal.
