The heat exchanger has a tube bank of parallel vertical rising pipes, a return tube, tube bases, a lower distribution chamber and a top collection chamber. There is an eddy material of inert solid particles. The distribution chamber has a distribution base, on which an eddy material bed is formed, fluidised by the material flow in the tubes. The distributor base (8) has flow inserts (14) in the form of displacement bodies, which are offset relative to the rising pipes and return pipes extensions (10,12). The inserts extend vertically within the eddy material bed (9), and permit radial transport of the solid particles within the bed.
