PURPOSE:To provide the manufacturing technique of a thermal recording material having a uniform and stable undercoat layer structure. CONSTITUTION:This thermal recording material consists of a support, an undercoat layer and a thermal color development layer (dye precursor, developer and binder). The undercoat layer coating material having a viscosity of 20cPs or higher at 8800rpm of a Hercules viscosimeter and a viscosity of 400cPs or higher at 60rpm of BL clay is applied to the support using a jet fountain device. After that, the application quantity is controlled using a blade for coating process. |
