<p>Manganese dioxide cathode for rechargeable alkaline mangnese dioxide cells with improved overcharge properties, which in addition to conventional components comprises at most 10 mass% catalyst, making the oxygen evolution during overcharge stoichiometrically equivalent to the charge current without the side reaction to the manganate. The applicable catalysts (alone or in combination) are members of the following group: CoAl2O4 (= CoO.Al2O3), ZnCo2O4 (= ZnO.Co2O3), NiCo2O4 (= NiO.Co2O3), V2O5, NiO, Co3O4, Nio.2CoO.</p> |
