PURPOSE: To obtain an emulsion-containing cosmetic composition having excellent stability, moisture-retention and feeling (e.g. soft feeling to the skin and lip and easily dispersible to form smooth texture).£Oily, creamy, waxy, thermoreversible starch gel. CONSTITUTION: The emulsion of this emulsion-containing cosmetic composition selected from skin lotion, cream, cosmetic stick, roll-on moisture retainer, roll-on deodorant, stick deodorant, lipstick, lip perfume, face cleaner, toilet soap and light-shielding material and having the above effects contains an aqueous dispersion containing 15-40wt.% of starch enzymatically decomposed by the debranching treatment withα-1,6-D-glycanohydrolase to produce up to 100wt.% of short-chain amylose. Preferably, the cosmetic is a cosmetic stick composition containing 1-16wt.% of the above starch to form 15-100wt.% of short-chain amylose, 2-35wt.% of water, 35-90wt.% of a hydrophobic material selected from oil, wax and fat, 5-20wt.% of an emulsifier and other additives such as dye, preservative and perfumery.
