<p>PURPOSE: To provide an optical scanner capable of generating a high-density scanning pattern including plural straight scanning lines directed in a vertical direction. CONSTITUTION: This optical scanner includes a hollow driving shaft 40 driven by a motor and in which a scanning light beam is transmitted. A mirror 66 suspended from one end of this driving shaft deflects a light beam to the side part of the driving shaft, and the light beam is brought into contact with the inside surface of a conical mirror ring 61. This mirror ring deflects the light beam downward to a horizontally suspended circular mirror 32, and the circular mirror reflects the light beam to a ring-shaped pattern forming mirror 82 suspended vertically to the circular mirror. This pattern forming mirror reflects the light beam like a scanning pattern shape through an opening 22 of the scanning device. The mirror ring is rotated to a direction opposite to the direction of rotation of the driving shaft by gear mechanisms 56 and 58 suspended between the mirror ring and the driving shaft.</p> |
