RE-USABLE MULTI-PURPOSE FOOD-SERVING AND STORAGE BOX

The box proposed consists of two halves of the same shape made of plastic or metal. The box halves can be stacked with the convex side of one in the concave side of the next. The facing edges of the box halves are aligned with each other when the box is closed by means of wave-like extensions (1) running round the outer border of the edge of each box half and carrying centrally oriented retention tabs (2). The alignment is ensured by the fact that, alternately, a wave-like extension on one box half rests against a retention tab on the outer border of the box half and vice versa, the flexible wave-like extensions overlapping to a sufficient extent. When the edges (6, 6') of the box halves are pressed together, a locking lug (3') on the retention surface snaps over the edge of the other box half, the two box halves thus being firmly connected together to form a box.
