On a housing (24) which can be secured to a ski (10), a retainer (26) is movable guided and biassed towards a ski boot (12) by a spring device (70). The housing (24) contains a support (40) which is held by a locking member (50) as long as the latter is in its locking position in an inoperative position in which it forms an abutment for the spring device (70). A shoulder (48) on a bolt (46) pivotable about a transverse axis (44) normally presses against the locking member (50). To the bolt (46) is allocated an electromagnet (60) which is excited when the retainer (26) or a pressure component (30) fitted on it is likely to be overloaded. When the electromagnet (60) is excited, its armature (62) strikes the bolt (46) which then releases the locking member (50). As a result, the support (40) moves into its withdrawal position so that the retainer (26) and the pressure component (30) are relieved of the force of the spring device (70) and the ski boot (12) is released. |
