PURPOSE: To provide an electrochromic cell having an Li<+> -doped oxymethylene- polyoxyethylene electrolytic film stable under temp. rising up to about 100 deg.C. CONSTITUTION: An ion-doped oxymethylene-polyoxyethylene film 12 doped with ions is held between two pieces of complementary electrochromic layers 26 and 28 one of which is tungsten oxide. Another electrochromic layer is a polyaniline or Prussian blue material. The complementary electrochromic layers 26, 28 are deposited on electrically conductive transparent base materials 14, 16, such as glass coated with fluorine-doped tin oxide. Suitable potential is applied between the two electrochromic layers 26 and 28, by which the electrochromic cell 10 is colored or decolored. The Li<+> -doped oxymethylene- polyoxyethylene electrolytic film is stable under the temp. rising up to about 100 deg.C. |
