PURPOSE:To avoid hunting and to improve stop accuracy and riding comfortableness by operating a deceleration speed to be controlled based on a residual distance upto a target stop position thereby commanding an optimal brake force. CONSTITUTION:When a vehicle enters into a fixed point stop section, a required deceleration speed betan is operated based on a residual distance upto a target stop point and a vehicle speed. Thus operated deceleration speed betan is then compared with a target deceleration speed betao at that time point and a deceleration speed proportional to the difference is added to the required deceleration speed betan to produce a control deceleration speed betac. An optimal brake step for obtaining the control deceleration speed betac is then commanded. |
