PURPOSE:To enable a steam pressure of a metal vapor to be uniform in a metal vapor laser device. CONSTITUTION:An outside of a discharge inner tube 2 is surrounded by a heat- conduction material 15 which is made of a material with an improved thermal conductivity such as copper. When the heat-conduction material 15 is a conductor, it is prevented from being connected to cathode and anode sides within the discharge inner tube electrically. Also, a metal particle 4 is placed only at the lowest-temperature portion, thus enabling a laser-oscillation region to be large and laser efficiency and output to be improved. |
