NEW ANTIBIOTIC SUBSTANCES PF1070A AND PF1070B AND THEIR PRODUCTION

PURPOSE:To obtain new substances PF1070A and PF1070B isolated from a culture of a mold. CONSTITUTION:A Humicola sp. PF1070 strain is cultured in a culture medium containing nutrients utilizable by normal microorganisms and a substance PF1070A expressed by formula I and a substance PF1070B expressed by formula II are isolated from the resultant culture by using a solvent extraction method, silica gel.column chromatography, etc. The aforementioned substances have antitumor activity and the respective molecular formulas are as follows. The substance PF1070A; C31H44N4O6 and the substance PF1070B; C30H42N4O6.
