PURPOSE:To quickly surely extinguish a fire in a battery by quickly filling a fire extinguishing agent together with an inert gas in a case. CONSTITUTION:A battery 5 composed of sodium-sulfur batteries received in a case 1 is injected and supplied with an extinguishing agent together with inert gas for transfer from an injection nozzle 9. The inert gas in the case 1 is discharged outside of the case 1 from a discharge pipe 10 installed at the same level in the same wall with the injection nozzle 9.
