Date Mar. 22, 1990.This invention relates to a horseshoe crab amebocyte lysate factor G activation inhibitor comprising as an active ingredient a polyglycoside containing at least one poly-(1->3)- beta -D-glucoside structure portion consisting of 2 to 370 (1->3)- beta -D-glucoside structural units of the following formula <IMAGE> which are continuously bound to one another. This inhibitor is useful for inhibiting the activation of factor G which may exist in horseshoe crab amebocyte lysate used in the Limulus test.
