959,249. Securing clutch plates on shafts. FICHTEL & SACHS A.G. Aug. 17, 1962 [Aug. 19, 1961], No. 31746/62. Heading F2U. A friction clutch plate 1 is yieldingly connected to a hub 5 by circumferentially disposed helical springs 4 received in apertures in the plate 1 and in apertures in guide plates 6, 7 which are non-rotatably mounted on the hub 5. The guide disc 7 is secured to the hub by rivets 12, and the disc 6 is axially slidably mounted on the hub by means of teeth 13 which engage teeth 14 on the hub. Annular friction discs 8 are located between the guide discs 6, 7 and reinforcing rings 3 fast with the clutch disc 1, and leaf springs 9 which are secured to the hub 5 by the rivets 12 bias the discs to gether to provide a friction coupling between the clutch disc and its hub to damp out oscillations. The friction discs 8 have apertures in the region of the springs 4 and provide relatively large friction faces giving effective damping and long life. |
