PURPOSE:To present the receiver to quantize and demodulate modulated waves without distorting the envelope component, to reduce the energy consumption of such a receiver and to miniaturize the receiver concerning the receiver to quantize linearly modulated waves such as QPSK or QAM, etc., and to convert them to digital signals and the quantizing method. CONSTITUTION:A constant amplitude wave conversion part 51 is provided to a linearly modulated received signal to two constant amplitude signals, a phase measurement part 52 is provided to respectively measure the phases of the two constant amplitude signals converted at the constant amplitude wave conversion part 51, and an operation part 53 is provided to operate the demodulation of the received signal based on the phase values of the two constant amplitude signals measured at the phase measurement part 52. |
