PURPOSE: To operate arm electronic copying system. CONSTITUTION: Information on the state of a job in this system is stored in the system and the system is monitored to prepare for the occurrence of a fault. When breakage occurs, communication is performed between the processors of the system so that the fault is recovered to make the system restart printing and the system can combine the fault found out in the system with the job including a function out of order. As a result, the printing job can be successively completed to the job requiring the fault out of order. Furthermore, in the system, printing is performed in random order by interrupting the job having higher priority in the job engaged in printing at present.
