PURPOSE: To clearly resolve an NMR image of different chemical species as separate images. CONSTITUTION: In a method for separating an NMR image of first and second chemical seeds in the presence of local magnetic field nonhomogeneity, three images obtained by the phase shift of π, 0 and -π between signals are used and a switch function is formed from the declination of a combined image to discriminate the predominant chemical species of the respective pixels clearly. The mutual superposition of declination generated by a range restricted in trigonometric function is made conspicuous by subtracting the low order polynominal expression applied to a phase image at first to be removed (78) and, secondly, tendency analysis is used to detect the discontinuation generated by superposition to remove the same. |
