A journal bearing for a sun visor comprises a bearing sleeve (2) anchored in a sun visor body, a bearing spindle (1) provided in the vicinity of the journal bearing with a journal (18) having a planar flattened portion (8) extending in the axial direction, and a leaf spring (14), which extends along the axial direction and which is located so as to act resiliently between the inner wall of the bearing sleeve (2) and the journal (18). Such journal bearings are difficult to manufacture and do not permit use for journals (18) having a smaller external diameter. Therefore, the bearing sleeve (2) is constructed with a rectangular cross-section with planar walls and the leaf spring (14) is arranged to face a planar wall (19). <IMAGE> |
