PURPOSE:To constantly obtain a good picture even when the environment is changed by providing more than two environmental detection means and by setting image forming condition based on that detected result. CONSTITUTION:The environmental sensors 19a and 19b are installed as the environmental detection means constituted from a temperature sensor and a humidity sensor. The environmental sensor 19a is provided in a position in the vicinity of a developer replenishing device or in a position reflecting well the state of absorption of toner in the vicinity of a developing device 1, etc., and the environmental sensor 19b is installed in the position where the state of absorption of a recording member in the vicinity of a recording material cassette, etc., is reflected well. CPU18 is connected to the environmental sensor 19a, 19b, and a potential sensor 20 as well as a memory 22. The detected result of the environmental sensor 19a is recorded to a buffer of the memory 22 at every specified interval, and contrast potential and surface potential of a photosensitive drum 3 is under the control of the CPU18. Furthermore, control of transfer current and destaticizing current is carried out by the CPU18 from the detected result of the environmental sensor 19b. |
