PURPOSE:To save the processing of a base station by using information with respect to a channel operating state in a mobile station, retrieving an idle channel, and making a request to the base station about the available channel. CONSTITUTION:The channel operating state is informed for a prescribed period by using idle channel information through a common information channel to an idle channel storage means of a mobile station in a reception state 1. A mobile station in the standby state retrieves (4) idle channel information 2 from a storage means in response to a call request 3 from the user and sends (5) the idle channel information satisfying a prescribed interference condition to a base station as a channel operation request signal. A base station checks (6) whether or not the communication channel is available at that point of time accordingly and designates (7) a communication channel through a common information control channel to the mobile station and makes communication (8) by using the communication channel. Moreover, the base station informs only the communication channel available to the storage means of the mobile station in the standby state. |
