PURPOSE: To prevent an interference beat from occurring in an RF spectrum, by providing a means for cooperating with a cavity for suppressing, at least, to a single mode in terms of operation. CONSTITUTION: An optical isolator 16 is provided in a ring to support only a traveling wave in one direction. The output of the optical isolator 16 is connected to a first mirror 20 via an optical fiber 18, and then is connected to a second mirror 24 via an optical fiber 22. By providing the mirrors 20 and 24, a pair of mirrors with the same length can be provided by a Fabry-Perot interferometer, thus increasing the selectivity of wavelength in a ring laser. Then, since the Fabry-Perot interferometer is connected to the inside of the ring, a fewer vertical mode can be selected in a laser cavity. |
