PURPOSE: To provide a connecting apparatus which connects insulated conductors of a flat cable in a desiring order with a connector having a large number of contacts arranged in a row. CONSTITUTION: Of a flat cable 2 comprising a large number of insulated conductors 14a, 14b, 14c,... produced by coating a large number of conductors with an insulating material 12 and arranged in flat, a part 22 including a plurality of the insulated conductors is separated from other insulated conductors by a slitter. The separated insulated conductors part 22 is turned over and edge parts are arranged again in parallel. The insulated conductors 14 of the obtained flat cable 2 are successively connected with terminal 138 of a connector 132. As a result, the arrangement order of the insulated conductors 14 of the flat cable 2 and the connection order of the contacts 138 of the connector 132 can be partly changed. |
