PURPOSE:To obtain a medical material sterilization method having the capability of sterilizing a medical material mainly composed of protein having physiologi cal activity without denaturing the protein contained in the material. CONSTITUTION:A sterilization method in the title is used to sterilize a medical material mainly composed of water insoluble protein having physiological activity. The concerned medical material is impregnated with protective solution, and a gamma-ray is irradiated thereto while maintaining an impregnated condition, thereby obtaining the intended sterilization method. |
