PURPOSE:To generate a natural musical sound even when respective waveform data are different in period by reading the respective waveform data out at a read speed based upon the period of the waveform data and the length of a repetitive section. CONSTITUTION:An input signal is converted by an A/D converter 2 and a waveform sample write part 3 generates waveform sample data through an access control part 4 and writes it in a waveform memory 6. A microcomputer 6 segments waveform data on an attack part and waveform data on one wavelength of a loop part from the sampled data. Then when this voice is specified with a panel switch 8 and a keyboard 7 is operated, performance information is inputted to a microcomputer 6 and a sound generation instruction signal is sent out to a sound source 9. The sound source 9 reads waveform data and voice data corresponding to the voice out of the waveform memory 5 and composes and outputs a musical sound signal to a D/A converter 10, and a sound system 11 generates the musical sound. |
