<p>PURPOSE:To reduce data quantity required for displaying a message in a numerical controller to display the message (character string) on a display device. CONSTITUTION:When display character string registration data containing the character string constituted of plural partial character strings and the identifier of this character string is inputted, a character string data analyzing part 105 stores the unstored one among the partial character strings in a character string dictionary data storage part 107, and stores the identifier and the stored position of the partial character string on the character string dictionary data storage part 107 in a character string control data storage part 106. A display character string editing part 102 responds to a display character string display request including the identifier of the character string to be displayed on the display device 104, and obtains the stored position of the partial character string to constitute the character string from the character string control data storage part 106, and further, it acquires the partial character string stored in the stored position from the character string dictionary data storage part 107, and generates the character string to be displayed on the display device 104 by combining the acquired partial character strings.</p> |
