摘要 PURPOSE: To increase the engagement force of friction members by disposing a self-energizing means and thus generating axial additive force applied to a shift flange in the direction of shifting force. CONSTITUTION: A pin-type double-acting synchronizer 22 has friction clutches 24, 36 and 26, 38, jaw clutches 28, 14b and 30, 16b, and self-energizing ramps. The ramps act between a shaft 12 and a shift flange 32. The shift flange 32 is rotatable relative to the shaft 12 and the jaw clutch members 28 and 30, and defines three sets of self-energizing ramps that act against three sets of ramps defined by elongated members 35. The members 35 are fixed against rotational and axial movement relative to the shaft 12. Three circumferentially spaced pins 40 include blocker shoulders for preventing asynchronous engagement of the jaw clutches 28, 14b and 30, 16b, and pre-energizer surfaces which each cooperate with a pre-energizer and neutral centering assembly 42.
