Ultrasound device (1) for cleaning floors (2), wherein a liquid (5) acting as the coupling fluid is present between an ultrasound emitter (4) and the floor (2) to be cleaned, while the ultrasound emitter (4) is situated inside a chamber (3) which, as long as the ultrasound device is on, is open to the floor, its lateral walls reaching close to the floor (2), the device being characterised in that the edges nearest the floor (2) of the lateral walls of the chamber (3) comprise gas cushions (7, 7') which, as long as the ultrasound device (1) is on, almost completely prevent the coupling fluid (5) from escaping around the sides.
